Swaroopa Desai

Swaroopa (Swoops) Desai is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Corporate Access at Leerink Partners.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2024, Ms. Desai served as a Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Access at TD Cowen. She joined Cowen in 2015 to lead Corporate Access efforts in Healthcare and was subsequently responsible for building its multi‑sector coverage model. Under her leadership, the team achieved top rankings in Institutional Investor and IR Magazine for Corporate Access. Prior to that, Ms. Desai was with Barclays Capital/Lehman Brothers, where her primary responsibilities were in healthcare and industrials. She began her career on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers in 2007 as an Associate in Equity Research on the Aerospace and Defense team.

Ms. Desai earned a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from New York University.
