Eric Olson is the Chief Operating Officer of Institutional Equities at Leerink Partners.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2004, Mr. Olson worked at Fidelity Investments, beginning his career within Fidelity Brokerage Services as a registered representative, then transitioning into a sales trader role, and later moved to National Financial Services, where he served as Director of Risk Management for the institutional clearing business, overseeing market risk management. Upon joining the Firm in 2004, Mr. Olson lead Operations and Risk Management activities. Over the past 21+ years, he established and chaired the Risk Committee, oversaw the Finance department during a transition, managed vendor relationships and procurement of trading-related technology and services, and engaged with clients regarding operational and risk management topics, before transitioning into his current role, beginning in 2026, where he is responsible for driving client strategy, performance management, and compensation within the Institutional Equities business.
Mr. Olson earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science in Finance from Northeastern University. Mr. Olson is a CFA charter holder.
