Boston, MA – October 4, 2013—Leerink Swann, a leading investment bank to both emerging and established companies that are shaping the future of healthcare, today announced that Ana Gupte has joined the firm’s Equity Research team as a Managing Director and Senior Analyst, Managed Care and Healthcare Facilities.

Ms. Gupte brings more than 15 years of healthcare and strategy consulting experience to Leerink Swann. Prior to her time at Dowling & Partners, Ms. Gupte served as the Vice President and Senior Research Analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Company for more than five years, where she covered Managed Healthcare and was recognized as a “Top Three Analyst” by Institutional Investor in the All America Research Team for 2011 and 2012. Ms. Gupte was also named the Top Stock Picker in Healthcare Providers and Services for FT Thomson Starmine for 2012. Over the course of her career, Ms. Gupte has served in senior roles at managed care and pharmaceuticals companies and was a consultant at McKinsey and Company.

Ms. Gupte holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Bombay University and an M.S. and Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
